There’s an ancient Chinese proverb along the lines of “Women dresses to be adored by others.” But rather, the mindset of modern and empowered women dress as a way to command their own look and feel – whether others like it or not. In this issue, we speak to the endearing ModeStar@iirisachu about her point of view on fashion and how she uses it as a tool to steer her mood.

ModeSens：When did you start enjoying fashion? What has it brought to your life?
@iirisachu ：I’ve almost been somewhat into fashion and style. I guess a lot of it comes from my mother when I was young. The main thing is that fashion brings me joy — I’m in the best mood when I’m getting dressed.
ModeSens：What’s your ideal way to live?
@iirisachu ：To travel and work with someone special, along with tons of great food and music.
ModeSens：Being a fashionista, what are your frequent purchases?
@iirisachu ：Mostly earings. But I do get super impulsive to buy other things too.
ModeSens：What is your ideal way to be fashionable?
@iirisachu： To express your soul and your true self.
ModeSens：Who are your favorite designers?
@iirisachu ：Jacquemus and it’s designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.
ModeSens：What’s your favorite style? Do you like being in trend or having an individualistic style?
@iirisachu： Simple but elegant. Vintage but fluid. I don’t like following what’s in; I think it has to do with my rebellious personality.
ModeSens：Can you recommend two pieces for the Fall?
@iirisachu： I love to go with hats and earings to embellish what people might overlook.
ModeSens：Seeing that you travel often, which piece do you feel like is a must-have during your trips
@iirisachu：Definite a tee. Simple, fluid yet comfortable and easy to match. In the winter, I’d go with a hoodie .
ModeSens：Seeing that you definitely mix up your looks, whether it’s a cute look or a get-up more on the sexy side — do you want to experiment with more looks or ways to express yourself?
@iirisachu：Ha thanks for the compliments. I’ve actually never really thought about other styles to be honest — I’m pretty impulsive and will always go after my ideas so I think so far it’s been based on instincts. I guess I should challenge myself a bit more to think outside the box.

@iirisachu：I was quite curious. It was the first time I encountered an app to show off my outfits. I’m actually quite lazy on social media so thanks to the ease of use, I get to share a ton of looks.
