ModeSens: Since when did you get into fashion? What has fashion brought for your life?
@yelenachic: I started paying attention to fashion around 14. Initially it was thanks to magazines like "ViVi", "Ray" and other Japanese publications. Fashion makes me feel confident. There’s a strict standard of living that’s taking place here personally, whether it’s mentality, taste or clothing.
ModeSens: What’s your ideal way of living?
@yelenachic: Besides work, being able to maintain a level of exercising and healthing diet. Also having a taste and quality for life. Being sensible with fashion without following trends.
ModeSens: Being a fashionista, what do you usually like to buy?
@yelenachic: Top of mind is always bags. Indie over name brands. From styles classic to disruptive, I just go with my instinct on what feels right. Number two is shoes. I think shoes are always a focal point of an outfit. For any get-up, without a pair of kicks, it’s hard to complete a beautiful canvas.

ModeSens: What’s your ideal type of fashion?
@yelenachic: Trendy yet classy and vibrant. I think that fashion is a way to portray your beautiful inner state of mind.
ModeSens: Any favorite fashion brands? Who’s your favorite designer and why?
@yelenachic: CHANEL, KARL LAGERFELD. CHANEL, especially the classic designs by Karl Lagerfeld. Innovating from the 2.55, to Flag bag, to Double C buttons, to adjustable shoulder straps. He’s able to infuse classic and timeless designs into his work while innovating.
ModeSens: What’s your favorite style? Do you like being in trend or crafting your own style?
@yelenachic: I like to have a personal style. You have to consider the occasion and your own mood. With that said, I don’t think I have a formulated personal style.

ModeSens: If you were to give yourself a hashtag, what would it be and why?
@yelenachic: #alternative. I think that my style is similar to my outlook on living — seeking in being different and living in variety.
ModeSens: What kind of cosmetics do you usually use and why?
@yelenachic: Foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick. These are my four go-to’s.
ModeSens: What’s your idea on skincare and health? Any products you recommend?
@yelenachic: It has to be organic without additives. CLARINS Gommage Exfoiant, LA MER Moisturizing Cream and Treatment Lotion, HABA White Lady cream.
ModeSens: What’s your first impression of ModeSens? What sets ModeSens apart from other platforms?
@yelenachic: My first impression was that it’s a clean but resourceful platform. Fashion can span into so many things but ModeSens seems to have a sense of energy and community.
ModeStar @yelenachic’s dream is to live well and style well. Besides work, she shares quality of life that shows through her sense of style — an aspiration for many modern women. @yelenachic doesn’t like to conform and be boxed in.
