About Cheri: My name is Cheri, I’m a Pennsylvania native, wife, and mother. I specialize in fashion and style with a focus on the high-low mix. I grew up in a fashion-forward household, getting introduced to style from my grandmother at an early age. One of the many fond memories we share is going thrift shopping and creating outfits together. By the time I was in high school my passion for fashion was strong, I was confident with my style, and creating stylish outfits became second nature. I love creating unexpected looks using mixed textures and colors. My motto is don’t blend in, stand out! For my senior prom, I sketched, designed, and hand-picked the fabric for my dress. About Fancy: People call me Fancy because if you tell me to get dressed, that’s exactly what I’m doing: getting all the way dressed up! I wouldn’t consider myself a woman who follows trends but I like to take what’s “haute” (or not) and put my spin on it. I draw inspiration from the Modesens Community, Pinterest, and select style influencers from Instagram. I prefer earth tones but I’m not afraid of a little color. I love the fact that you can take one thing and style it in so many different ways. I like living out loud in fashion. My style and creative expression enable me to communicate with others who share the same interests. I would say that I contribute to helping others discover their creative edge and step outside of their comfort zones.

I’m a micro-influencer who loves all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I’m a native of Memphis, TN, but I’ve lived in the Washington, D.C. area for almost 11 years. As a Howard alumna, I know firsthand that having the “It girl” factor is no accident and your first impression is a lasting one. My goal as a Black content creator is to show the world how your weight does not stop you from always being fabulous and looking your best. I live my life for me unapologetically! I’m in a self-focused, soft-girl, unbothered era. My style comes from watching the fabulous women in my life always look amazing, especially my mother, Brenda. She has always been “jazzy” and she has always taught me to wear what feels good to me. Growing up I always had to have my purse, rings, earrings, and bracelet. About Ayo: My name is Ayo Fashina and I am a Fashion Content Creator based in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, with frequent visits to New York. I make a difference in people's lives assisting them to develop a unique sense of self-expression through clothing and accessories. Emphasizing the combination of different pieces creatively, individuals can use fashion as a means of self-expression rather than simply following trends. I took the content-creating space seriously a little over a year ago and I am proud of the community I have built since then. Over 92% of my audience are women between the ages of 18-40 whom I aim to keep stylish and true to themselves. I may not have as large a following as others, but I can match anyone's engagement; my followers are dedicated. Although my style has graduated with each year and each experience, I still take my cue from the ambitious high school teenager I was who worked hard at Forever21. The access to the clothing and the retail world at that age planted something in me that has truly grown over time and blossomed into the Ayo Fashina you know today. A reminder to all the young ladies, whether your lane happens to be fashion or not, be true to yourself and always tap into that inner child; we spend a lifetime looking for what to be when we grow up but a lot of times we can find those answers if we look within.
