Fresh off of Paris Fashion Week I headed to Udaipur, Rajasthan to join my dear friend Saloni Lodha—and about 130 other guests including Margarita Missoni, Dree Hemingway, Eugenie Niarchos, and Jessica Hart—in a three-day immersive Indian experience celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of her fashion brand, Saloni. #HoliSaloni! Celebration may be an understatement because the weekend of revelry just so happened to coincide with the traditional Holi festival. Saloni Lodha, who was born in Nashik, an ancient holy city in the west of the country, launched her label in Rajasthan, having built up a sturdy fan base designing ad hoc show-stopping dresses for friends. Now, ten years on, Saloni is synonymous with one-stop event-dressing and is stocked worldwide everywhere including The Webster. Beyond her beautiful dresses—red printed one shoulder, Agnes knot print silk crepe de chine, and a fleur silk jacquard gown, to name a few—the dress code entailed wispy white dresses. Chloe’s lace asymmetrical maxi dress and Maison Rabih Kayrouz’s Mandarin collar shirt dress, play the perfect backdrop for the electric colored powders traditionally thrown during the festivities. Take a look behind the scenes @TheWebster and @LHD for Saloni’s Holi Saloni party of the year.
