From Paris to New York, London to Milan, this year’s statement styles from some of the best dressed in the industry were satisfying our sartorial cravings, whether that was Y2K glamour in the Big Apple or Scandi simplicity in Copenhagen. With a myriad of emerging trends, there’s no better time to feel inspired to make the ultimate style statement. Enter peacock fashion. The bold and the brave should set the tone by pairing head-to-toe denim, reworked with daring details. Don’t be afraid to clash textures and hues for maximum impact. Monochrome devotees, don’t fear as there’s still room to peacock through accessories; think twinkling embellishments, stand out shoes and hints of metallic (Fashion Week magpies, be warned). If you thought the end of party season meant it was time to hang up the glitter ball, think again. From sequins to embellishments and everything in-between, the FROW was awash with twinkling tones this season. To put it simply, sequins are breaking out of their after-dark comfort zone. This season, shoes became the life (and sole) of the party across the cities.
