The Ancient Apothecary
Decorated objects that reveal singular scents, The Alchemist’s Garden bottles are styled on curious pharmacy jars and the first perfumery containers seen in ancient apothecaries.
Dating back to the medieval times, the European apothecary was the original general practitioner, selling wine, spices and herbs alongside preparing medicines for physicians and patients. The vintage flacons depicted in artworks and images of the first apothecaries lend their form to The Alchemist Garden’s glass bottles. Alessandro MICHELE enriched the stoppered shapes with gold lettering and whimsical animal symbols.
Between Fiction and Reality Stemming from a collaboration that began at the 2018 Photo Vogue Festival, Vogue Italia, Gucci Beauty and Jimmy Moffat’s Red Hook Labs selected Australian photographer Chase C. Middleton to present her own unconventional take on the Gucci Bloom family of fragrances including the newly-launched Gocce di Fiori.
