Known for its avant-garde twists on denim and cheeky ’90s references, Korean streetwear brand SJYP clothing was founded by buzzy designers Steve Jung and Yoni Pai (of Steve J & Yoni P fame) in 2014. The project began as a response to the overwhelming popularity of the blue-jean dresses in their initial line, which were favored by K-pop stars and fashion bloggers alike. Today, SJYP denim and more is easily recognizable for its blend of unexpected details and fresh silhouettes—think overall dresses, wrap skirts, frayed-edge jeans, and patchwork denim jackets.
