Though her shape is loose, Veryan is flattering with delicate fabric gathers from the yoke panel at the centre front and centre back and a slim cut over the hips. A wide ruffle finished with a contrast scalloped trim, elevates the simple shape, mimicked on the skirt hem. All ST. CLAIR prints are unique, painted in England by hand in watercolour and inspired by the English Countryside. Created using just two colours, the vintage peachy pink background is peppered with pillar box red roses, interspersed with kitsch little hearts to keep the print fresh. This one had to be called Darling Heart, in memory of my Nana, Marie St. Clair – it was her term of endearment for everyone she loved.
