Created for Alessi by German industrial designer Richard Sapper in 1983, the 9091 FM kettle emits a melodic whistle when the water boils. A far cry from the cacophonous screech of standard kettles, the sound is inspired by a childhood remembrance of the poetic sound of boats’ sirens on the River Rhine.
