A well-known piece from the Secretariat Building in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, the Capitol Complex chair was developed by Italian brand Cassina in tribute to Pierre Jeanneret, cousin of Le Corbusier and designer of a host of furniture throughout the complex. Defined by independent elements that include oak wood side bars in an inverted 'V', and a Viennese straw backrest and seat stretched across wooden frames, the design is both simple and powerful.
