The shawl-collar cardigan is re-imagined this season with a jacquard motif created in collaboration with Ralph Lauren Lauren's Artist in Residence, Naiomi Glasses – a seventh-generation Dinétah (Navajo) textile artist and designer. Hand-knit by our skilled artisans from a silk-and-linen blend, the cardigan's dynamic pattern includes the four-directional cross and wedge weave motifs, which reflect the evolution of Naiomi's skills throughout her weaving journey. Referencing the Earth's four directions, Naiomi uses this symbol to honour the significance of the number four in Navajo tradition. A belted waist and two front pockets complete the look.
