For My Archive Guidi Collectors This One Is Worth A Look; This Circa 2009-2010 Pre-Mass-Production-Era Guidi Model ‘795’ Classic Combat Boot Shape With An Exaggerated Stacked Leather Heel Form ‘Z’ Is A Piece Of Guidi History; There Is Only One Other Pair That Circulated Japanese Auction About 5 Years Ago From The Movie Set Matrix Reloaded (2003). Backstory, This Piece Was Custom Ordered By A Long-Standing Client Of Guidi For Use On-Set Of Book Of Eli (2010). It Was Intended For Look 8 For Bandit 3 Of The Antagonist. It Remained Unused Because The Leather Soles Were Too Slippery For The Actor To Move Quickly On Wet Ground. (These Were Produced Before Guidi Started Sending Pairs Out With The Vibram Protection). The Leather Is Comprised Of A Very Unusual ‘Hand-Buffed’ (Not Heat-Scarred) Cordovan Shell. Unlike Most Of All Guidi Manufacture Being Calf Leather Full-Grain. With A Matted And Oiled Appearance, The Shell Cordovan Interestingly, Gives A Super Soft Hand Feel… Like Reverse Bison. These Are Sold As Is. What You See Is Exactly What You Get.
