product description
Very original travel bag resulting from a collaboration between the French house Longchamp and the Japanese design studio Nendo. This bag is inspired by furokishi, fabrics in which the Japanese once wrapped all kinds of objects. Without a predetermined shape, this bag will adapt to the shape of its contents. The exterior is made of canvas with black leather details, as for the interior, it is made of coated canvas which is very easy to wash with a simple sponge. Note that this bag only has two snaps, one for the leather flap, the other to fold the bag for storage. It is not possible to close this bag at the ribs. The name ""travel bag"" for this model, although coming from the creators, seems to me to be incorrect, so don't imagine using this bag as a cabin bag for air transport! The diameter of this bag is 85 centimeters. Measurements when the bag is arranged as in the first photograph without contents inside: - Length 85 centimeters - Height 36 centimeters This bag will be delivered without its inclusions (box, card, dustbag, etc.).
about LONGCHAMP
Longchamp is a French luxury leather goods company, founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain.
Jean Cassegrain produced the world's first luxury leather-covered pipes, then expanded into small leather goods, such as wallets, passport covers... Longchamp launched its first women handbag in 1971 and became one of France's leading leather goods makers.
The company's real breakthrough came with the use of nylon. In the 1970s, Longchamp created a leather and nylon fabric luggage collection. For the first time, luggage were light, contrary to the overweight suitcases usually sold at that time. This innovation led the company to design a women's handbag known throughout the world: Le Pliage, few decades later.
The company's most iconic product is its innovative "Le Pliage" women's foldable handbag.[5] The handbag was an instant hit and continues to be the company's best selling product. Le Pliage's signature design, which originated in nylon, has been re-envisioned and re-invented in countless shapes, patterns, colors and fabrics.
