Cambridge, Massachusetts, shoe boutique Concepts teamed up with New Balance for this limited edition New Balance 998 ‘Grand Tourer’ in 2015. A tribute to prestigious endurance auto races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the shoe brings together grey, Off-White, green and bright red hues based on European road maps, race stickers, flags and car-interior designs. The premium pig suede upper is supported by a faux-carbon fiber heel shank, while reflective underlays on the side panel ‘N’ branding bring a flash of color. The custom insole sports a tarmac-like design.
