Ribbon Collection designed by AD100 Designer Adam Charlap Hyman of Charlap Hyman & Herrero; New York and Los Angeles based architecture and design firm. The ribbons on the plates are inspired by a series of prints of citrus fruits made in the 17th and early 18th centuries. In the botanical illustrations; the ribbons bear the names of individual varieties of lemons; limes; oranges; bergamots; and grapefruits. We loved the idea of each of the ribbons appearing as if they had been blown across a table and landed perfectly on each plate. The ribbon design was originally painted by the artist Pilar Almon.
