The current 2022 B-3 bomber leather jacket trend was introduced by the US military in the mid 1930s. Its version and ours are crafted of sheepskin and lined with heavy-duty, vegan shearling lining. As you can it no longer had the knit waistband as on previous US flight bomber jackets. Two leather straps enabled pilots to close the wide sheepskin collar easily for warmth and utility.  The popular bulky look of this coat kept bombers warm 25,000 feet up and now...keeps you warm down here.
