We’re entering a busy time of year; Summer Fridays are slowly (and sadly) fading into our periphery, and fall is right on our well-styled heels. With a ramped-up schedule and a change of seasons, our wardrobes need more attention than they did during the easy throw-on-and-go days of summer.
Transitional dressing can prove difficult with the shifting temps and extra prep time needed in the mornings (Should you or shouldn’t you bring that denim jacket?). That’s why we tapped our friends at Joie and Kyla Eato, INTERMIX’s Head of Styling, to put together three key in-between season looks for your week ahead. Armed with these beyond stylish – and highly versatile – Joie pieces, plus a few of our tips, you’ll be out the door and turning heads at all of your stops.
Monday Morning
A.M. Meetings
“When dressing for the office in the early fall, you can’t go wrong with a long-sleeve blouse paired with a stylish, shorter hemline. The proportions are perfect for this time of year. The polished pussy bow and feminine print on this Joie blouse really balance the trendier vibe of the mini skirt. Of course, topping off the look with a pair of killer booties is a must.”
Thursday Night
Dinner and a Show
“This Joie dress really embodies transitional style. The pastel pink is a perfect color for the warm weather, while the silhouette and long sleeves are fall-forward. With this piece, you can have a little fun with accessories. Try a printed bag and a statement earring to tie it together.”
Saturday Afternoon
Museum Date
“When viewing works of art, dress like a work of art! This piece from Joie is one of my absolute favorites for fall. The mix of colors and prints are so autumnal, while the lightweight fabric makes it a piece you can easily wear now. For a busy weekend, throw it on with sneakers and a light jacket. It also transforms perfectly for night when you swap in a pair of heels.”
