product description
Patek Philippe IOS million dollar gold wristwatch This Patek Philippe watch is fully made in 18kt yellow gold. It has Million Dollar Associate IOS at the back . These watches were made from 1968 to 1971 for Bernie Cornfeld and the Investors Overseas Service as a corporate incentive gift. Straps were all made by Baumgartner. The bracelet was welded to the case without lugs and had a special buckle like a belt loop with a steel claw retainer. Not a typical bracelet system for Patek Philippe, but it looked elegant closed on the wrist, despite hiding the ""secret"" sharp teeth underneath and the clasps had an engraved ios logo and Patek Philippe logo. It's in very good condition and works perfectly well. Purchased directly from the family of the original owner. Mechanical (manual-winding) movement. Comes with original leather pouch and additional travel pouch. Elegant and an admirer to look at. Please study all the pictures for sizes and conditions. Back story of IOS One million dollar watch: Bernie Cornfeld was a former social worker turned investment guru who founded ios, Investors Overseas Services. In its heyday in the 1960s, his investment firm controlled over $2.5 billion in assets and had over 15,000 people in its sales force. Its slogan was "" Do you sincerely want to be rich ?"", and it rewarded its top salespeople very well for selling the dream when one reached $1 million in sales. Over 1,000 examples of this reference were made, making it one of the largest corporate orders in the history of Patek Philippe.
