Please note all sales are final. An homage to the British excise stamps that often decorated imported wallpapers, whiskeys and teas in late 18th century America After Chinterwink's scattered array of filigree and leaves suggests traditional ornamentation with an unmistakably contemporary feel. Artist and designer Avery Thatcher was researching historic wallpapers when she discovered the recurring and varied stamps that inadvertently adorned so many wallpapers installations of that era. With their crudely rendered gestural flourishes and filigree, these excise stamps had a funky, hand drawn look that Avery often liked more than the traditional wallpapers themselves. Thatcher is a Portland, Oregon based design studio specializing in wallpaper, tiles, and home goods with a commitment to quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. Founded by Avery Thatcher in 2010, Thatcher's beautifully crafted designs are created for longevity with as light an impact on the environment as possible. The brand furthered this commitment with the announcement of becoming a certified Climate Neutral brand in 2022. Residential Grade Wallpaper, clay coated, pulp paper Untrimmed and unpasted We recommend spot treatment by gently using a solution of mild dish soap and water on a soft towel or sponge. After cleaning, rinse with water. Do not rub excessively or scrub, as this can cause burnishing. If you encounter a tough stain, you can test a non-bleach kitchen cleanser in an inconspicuous area and assess the results.
